TUMBLED COIN 50 CENTS

Malaysia Tumbled Coin.

Malaysia.1987.50 Cents.
Tumbled Coin.Obverse.
(Dickson Niew Collection)

We've had coins like this posted before by our regular Bloggers

Malaysia.1987.50 Cents.
Tumbled Coin.Reverse.
(Dickson Niew Collection)

Looked like it is a coin that has been in a commercial clothes dryer. They get caught in the fins on the inside of the drum. The tumbling action over time causes this to happen.

Details and Field On Obverse.
The surface of the coin and the edge is what gives it away.

Rounded Edge.

  1. Ooooh no, there goes some of our babies, haha.
Found a few of these, 50sen and 20sen.
    Some even have darker tone.
A piece of valuable information for us.
    Thanks a lot, Dickson :)

  3. Hi Dickson,
Hehe, not us but mnfaj, if we are not mistaken.
Hmmm...if we ponder over coins with major errors, suppose there aren't many around.
    We noticed many PMDs instead.
    Thanks a lot, Dickson :)

  8. Hi Mr Dickson, I am having a 10cents that looks exactly like this. I thought it could be an error coin. Can being stuck in commercial clothes drier really make the coin change shape like this, I am just wondering..

To clear your doubt, please weight it, anything less then 2.82gm,it is a Tumbled coin,a Post Mint Damaged coin.
