MALAYSIA COINS-SPLIT PLANCHET BEFORE STRIKE ERRORS

Malaysia 1st Series ( Parliament series) Coins:
Split Planchet Before Strike Errors.

I am considered myself  very lucky to be able to collect three pieces of Malaysia first series coins (Parliament Series as we used to refer) on three denominations in Split Planchet Before Strike Errors.
Malaysia.Split Planchet Before Strike.Reverse.
(Dickson Niew Collection)

Malaysia.Split Planchet Before Strike.Obverse.
(Dickson Niew Collection)
There are 10 Cents 1976, 20 cents 1976 and 50 Cents 1985. I am "hunting" for my next piece i.e. 5 Cents to make a complete set.

Thin Edge Planchets

Split Planchet Before Strike is when planchet splits before being struck and each half is thin normally with weak design and/or lines on Obverse and Reverse. Generally exhibit weak details due to lack of metal to fill the dies. When the split occurs before striking, can appear very similar to die adjustment strikes. They will exhibit a varying degree of weakness to the obverse and reverse depending on the thickness of the planchet.
