SINGAPORE COINS SPLIT PLANCHET AFTER STRIKE ERRORS

Singapore Coins 10 Cents, 20 Cents and 50 Cents Split Planchet After Strike Errors.

Mr. Vincent Tan's collection

Split Planchet After Strike Errors is due to an improper alloy mix or air bubbles and/or foreign materials trapped in the metal of the planchet, the force of the strike "blasted" this improper alloy mix  planchet splitting into two pieces.

One side of the split planchet will have a ghost of some design and be heavily striated. The other side will be fully struck with details and showing no striations like a normal struck coin. Although split planchet after strike errors are rare but there are usually less valuable compare to the Split Planchet Before Strike unless both pieces remain together as a set.
