Some serious coin collectors,especially those with extra interest on mint errors coinage will collect this 1985-Parliament series-50 cents coin and categorized it as Die Varieties or Die Errors,because one of the wording on the lettered edge-"MALAYSIA" has a missing alphabet "I" & with an deformed alphabet "Y".However,there were more to explore:

This contemporary counterfeits 1985-50 Cents coin, was once put in MNS auction but was withdrawn in the last minute when one of the very experience coin collector., Mr Tony Au spotted it.

If the condition of the coin still in UNC,you may find conscentric lines on the fields of the coin.

    After keeping them for so many years, finally we realized they were counterfeits, haha.
    Luckily all were acquired free of charge.
    Of course we felt the setback, but at the same time glad that we have expert people like you to guide us.
