FAKE PRIVATE PAPER CURRENCY OF JOHOR
Fake Johor Constantinople Estate Private Paper Currency 1-5-1878
This extremely rare Johor Private Paper Currency was issued by Tuan Syed Muhammad bin Ahmad Alsagoff for their employees to use within Constantinople Estates in Kukup, Johor on 1-5-1878.
It was printed by Al' Sa'aidi Press of Singapore with hand written signatures and rubber stamped serial numbers. It was blank on the reverse.
Denominations were 25 cents in green colour, 50 cents in red-brown,1 Dollar in black colour and 2 Dollars in brown colour.
This is a photocopied fake banknote.It was photocopied on a thick,possible an old paper and toned it with some brown solution to make it looks old. Its details were in black colour instead of brown. It was bigger in size,i.e.165mm X 115mm compared to it original size of 134mm X 106mm.
