Battle for the Ring Coin Set is one of the special coin set minted in conjunction with launching of the movie " THE LORD OF THE RINGS" in New Zealand. It was issued by the New Zealand Royal Mint
on 2004.
The special minted coin set contains three pieces of coin.The set includes "One Ring", "Frodo Baggins" and "Sauron", symbolizing the epic battle over the One Ring to rule them all.
Coins are included in an attractive illustrated cardboard folder.
They are alloy nickel-brass (silver in color although New Zealand set pictures them as gold), diameter 38.61mm, weight 20.28 grams.

Each has Queen's official picture on opposite side and is $1 denomination. All are legal tender.
