Ragged Clip.Reverse.
(Dickson Niew Collection)
If the line is very irregular in shape and comes significantly into the planchet it is known as a defective planchet rather than a ragged clip.

How to detect a genuine clip errors and a counterfeits?(Man-made)
Always pay attention to the rim right opposite/across the affected area. The rim will always exhibits an imperfect or deformed rim, this is due to the affected area could  not respond the force of the upsetting or upended process to raise the rim. This phenomenon was best explained by Mr.Blakesley, hence,is also called Blakesley Effects.

  1. Managed to collect a number of clip coins but never come across a ragged clip before.
    Thanks for sharing, Dickson :)

  2. This is a genuine error, definitely, not an assisted error...
