During the month of September in 1942,a large quantity was issued with the exact number unknown even to the Japanese themselves as they did not bear serial numbers,but only block letters.

There were the series 2 of the Japanese Invasion Money of Malaya issued by the Yokohama Specie Bank and similar in design to those of series 1.There were often variations in their shades of colour but nevertheless,they were still of the same issue.
