FORGERY OF MALAYSIA NUMISMATIC SOCIETY CERTIFICATES

Falsification Of Malaysia Numismatic Society (MNS)Certificates!

On 02-04-2012,at 10.53am, I received a sms message from Lunaticg informing and invited me to visit a facebook  site, apparently this Puteri Ayang, a female, claimed that she has a original MNS certificate that was issued and signed by our MNS late President Mr.E E Sim (who was a judge and the Registrar of the High Court) that  certified her Malaysia Banknotes Sa-Puloh Ringgit with  Agong watermark  is genuine.

Facebook site:

(All imformations were already deleted from her facebook walls.)

I, as the life member and committee member of MNS, called my other committee  members, they replied they have never seen such a certificates being issue by our society. To be more certain, I arranged to meet our most senior life member and Pakar Numismatic Malaysia (as member of  MNS for more then 40 years) of our society, master Tan Tai Seng this morning (03-04-2012) at 10.30am at Old Klang Road to do the authentication.I printed all copies for his perusal.

Master Tan Tai Seng said, being a member in MNS for so long, to his knowledge,he has never seen such certificate being issue by the society, and our late President Mr E E Sim, who was a judge and the Registrar of the High Court will never sign such a certificate. "No such thing !" he said.

This is a serious offence!

  10. From her facebook, I can see she is living in Setapak, Wangsa Maju. Only Kuala Lumpur area, not that hard for police to track her. Hopefully Your MNS President will reply an action as soon as possible.

  11. The 2 certificates look like a colour print-out from a computer printer.

A colour certificate signed by EE Sim in 1976? She must have had one of those "Back to the Future" time machines!

  18. edy.othman,
In our recent meeting,we decided to observe but still reserve the right to pursue the case.
We believed that she was being too naive to show her self on the facebook,we hope and we give her a chance not to repeat the same act again.
