FINNED RIM ERRORS,DRACULA WITH EXTRA TOOTH
M3S 2012 50 Cents Coin With Finned Rim Errors
Rarity:RR/UNC
The cause of this error is usually one of this two things. Either the planchet is too heavy for the normal die spacing, or the dies are improperly spaced and coming too close together during the strike. This causes excess metal to squeeze up between the dies, resulting in the extra bit of raised metal around the rim.It would seem likely that the latter problem is what accounts for the finned rim error here.
This is a piece of "Dracula/Pontianak" M3S 50 Cents coin that growth with an extra "TOOTH" !
