We were invited to the "Coins Exhibition Of Museum Kelantan" exhibition halls after the grand opening. The VIPs and the VVIPs were guided and briefed by Dato' Sharuddin at every display counters.
We were brought to the 4 main area of the coins exhibition:
1) Matawang Kesultanan Melayu. (Malay States Sultanate Coins)
2) Matawang Era Sebelum Merdeka.( Malaysia Pre-Independence Coinage).
3) Matawang Selepas Merdeka (Malaysia Modern Coinage)
4) Matawang Antarabangsa.(World Coins).
Later, we were guided to the hall that displaying the banknotes.
While I was roaming in the exhibition halls, I met more Kelantan numismatists. To my surprised, the boss of Azahari Antique Shop whom I met a day earlier, En. Azman was there too. I am glad to see so many visitors.
Then, I was invited to attend the lunch together with all VIPs and VVIPs. I am lucky to meet Professor Zilfalil bin Alwi, MBBS,AM,MSc,MMed,PhD. The Senior Consultant Pediatrician & Medical Geneticist. He is also the Head, Malaysian Node of the Human Variome Project at School of Medical Sciences, Health Campus, University Sains Malaysia (Kelantan). I took the opportunity to suggest to him, by hoping that he can try to form a Numismatic Diploma Faculty in the USM (Kelantan).
The event was followed by more photo session and visiting the bourse tables.
My visit to the "Coins Exhibition Of Museum Kelantan" was ended with a invitation by YB MEJ.(Rtd) Dato' Hj. Md. Anizam Bin Ab. Rahman, the Member of Kelantan State Meeting Council and The Committee Chairman of Culture, Tourism And Heritage to his office. I was asked to authenticate his personal collection of coins and banknotes. I am very pleased to know that he starts to show keen interest in numismatics. Cheers!!
