A very unique Malaysia 1985,Copper-Nickel 5 Cents with Double Strikes Mint Errors.It was graded by NGC in Uncirculated Condition but details and labelled as a damaged coin.
It was listed in Collectibles Auction Asia Coins & Banknotes Auction 2/2013 in Singapore with a realised price of RM360.
If a coin fails to be properly ejected from the striking chamber after being stuck and the dies come down again to strike the coin again, a double strike occurs. Double strikes can occur with the second strike off center or on-center.In this case, the second strike was off center for more then 50% and resulted a very crude looked on the coin.
