Strike Through Errors occurs when any foreign substance gets struck into the surface of a coin.Debris composed of tiny metal shavings and thick grease or wax is the usual culprit but it could be anything from a piece of string to a piece of cloth or even a staple!This past year,it was realized that most of the coins are struck through duct tape and exhibits the unique "weave" pattern.
