This Malaysia 2006, 5 Cents multiple die cracks error coin was found from my friend's piggy bank.
My friends knew I am a "diehard" coins collector, they will hijack any coins that are going to the bank in order for me to do the cherry picking.

  1. ...and we thought there was only 'lightning-struck jade' or in Cantonese, sounded as 'loi-pack-yu', haha.
Its a non-gemological term used to describe jadeite with lots of imperfections such as cracks and hairlines.
Hmm..wonder what happens when a coin is struck by lightning or 100 million to 1 billion volts?
    Nice thunder-bolted and lightning-struck 5sen coin you've here, Dickson, haha :D

  2. Dear whycollect,
Hi,thank you for the new terminology or jargon:'loi-pack-yu'that for me to learn!Do they have "lightning-struck diamond"-"loi-pack-chiun-sek"?haha!
May be someone(has to be kuku minded) like to try, standing at the center of the football field, holding a coin, pointing to the sky during a thunder storm!STRRRRRRUCK!!!,I pay for the coin only!hahaha!!Happy week-end.

  3. Hi Dickson,
The world of gemstones is rather strange at times.
Haha, no play play with your diamonds ar. Because they can actually chip or break even when they are the hardest gemstones. This is due to their weak cleavage lines. Maybe you can try one of the stones. Drop on the hard floor and you may end up getting more than one stones. Haha, Don't ever try it.
Holding a coin and hoping to be struck by lightning?
Of course, nobody in the sound mind would want to repeat the feat of Benjamin Franklin, haha.
Happy weekend to you too, Dickson :)
