Malaysia Parliament Series,1981 10 Cents, with Uniface Errors.

UNIFACE: A coin showing a design on one side only.Uniface coins occur when there have been two blank planchets in the press at the same time. The other blank will obstruct the die on either the obverse or reverse side, which will prevent it from having that design on the coin.
Malaysia Parliament Series,1967 50 Cents.

It is a coin that has been in a commercial clothes dryer. They get caught in the fins on the inside of the drum. The tumbling action over time causes this to happen.

  1. Hello Dickson,
I am rather doubtful that the specimen 10 sen 1981 is indeed a uniface strike at all. A typical flat uniface strike would have a totally blank side without any rim in-collar impression and a sharply struck opposing side. Its characteristics is always the same. A good example of a 10 sen uniface error is from here:
    http://malayastraitsbanknotes.blogspot.com/2009/10/malaysia-error-coin-10sen-1976-uniface.html

A gradient uniface strike somehow would have a finned sharply struck side and a finned blank opposing side.
Your specimen here has a rim in-collar impression and its topography is inconsistent with a uniface strike. Please enlighten me on this.
    Thanks.
