In Master Saran Singh Book: "The Encyclopaedia of The Coins Of Malaysia Singapore And Brunei 1400-1967.", this coded SS1 "Johor Mas Gold Coin Sultan Ala'uddin Riayat Shah I 1527/28-1564" was rated with RRRR and with a recommended selling price of RM4,000 for a piece of gold coin in very fine condition in the price guide published by Malaysia Numismatic Society in 1997.
This "Sultan Ala'uddin" Mas Gold coin was produced with a deep crack line across the coin at the position of 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock. The inscription on the obverse and reverse of the coin are not very clear.

In Arabic "Khalifatul Muminin" (Ruler of the faithful-i.e.of the religion of Islam).
