THE 12TH TEMAN CONFERENCE (2005) COPPER MEDALLION (LIMITED EDITION)

The 12th Technical Meeting of Mints in ASEAN (TEMAN) (19th-24th September 2005) Indonesia.
Technical Meeting of Mints in ASEAN (or abbreviated as TEMAN) was established in 1982 in Jakarta, Indonesia, is a forum for the exchange of information and know-how relating to coin and medal production including, but not limited to, blank preparation, coin design, engraving and die-making, production and quality control methods, packaging and distribution system, equipment and general management practices, in a atmosphere of mutual confidence. Incidentally, "TEMAN" is an Indonesian word which means "FRIENDS".
FRIEND is an organization founded in 1982 in Jakarta with members throughout the Asean countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Brunei Darussalam. Since then, TEMAN was held every 2 years, and TEMAN members are rotated in alphabetical order to act as host country.
This TEMAN special limited edition of copper medallion was given by the Treasury Department of Royal Thai Mint to the delegates of TEMAN countries who attended the Technical Meeting of Mints in ASEAN (TEMAN) in Jakarta, Indonesia from 19th September to 24th September 2005.
