SINGAPORE 5 CENTS WITH "SECURITY" EDGE
Singapore 1971- 5 Cents With "Security" Edge. A Collar Die Strike Error.
Rarity:RRR
I had tried on many attempts to post this Singapore 1971; 5 Cents coin minted with a Collar Die Strike Error that resembled a "security" edge, the error was so small in size until my "lazy man" camera failed to take a good shot.
Not until few days ago, I tried to take another few shots by inserting the coin through a card board. The image are so much better. At least the auto focus gadget of the camera is targeting at the right spot.
Actually, the looked like "Security" edge on this Singapore 1971-5 Cents coin is a Collar Die Strike Error. The Third die (Collar Die) was struck at a misaligned position, resulted the edge of this coin formed an uneven milled edge that looked like a groove of a security edged coin.
