Malaya King George VI 1950 20 Cents Copper-Nickel coins were minted by Royal Mint, London with total mintage of 20,000,000 pieces.It is a 20 % Off Center Strike at 4 o'clock position on obverse or at 8 o'clock position on the reverse.
An off center coin is produced when the coin that have been struck outside the collar that holds the coin in place when it is struck, is struck once, albeit off center, the punch is not in the center of the coin, but rather the edge.The coin is incorrectly centered with part of the design missing.This results in a coin which is not circular. The coin gives a freakish appearance as a result, and various amounts of blank planchet space are visible.It is always with plain edge.
The coins is vary in value depand on how far off center they are struck, a Off Center Strike coin with full date are more desirable than coin without a date or missing digits.
