TERENGGANU TEN KEPING 1310 A.H. (1892/93)
Malaysia Terengganu Ten Keping 1310 A.H. (1892/93) NGC XF45.

In 1310 A.H. (1892/93) a new tin coin bearing the denomination Ten Keping was minted in Terengganu. Tunku Petri the wife, and Che Kelesom the Royal concubine, of Sultan Zainal Abidin III were authorised by the Sultan to mint 960,000 pieces per month of this new Ten Keping coins and were allowed to keep profits for their upkeep. The intrinsic value of the Ten Keping coins was 0.03 Cents, but as the coin was equivalent to One Cent, both the ladies made a profit of about 245% per coin or about $700.00 per month which was a tidy sum in those days.
