MALAYSIA 1981 5 SEN GRADED NGC 68.
Malaysia Parliament House Series 1981 5 Cents Graded NGC 68.
In my recent trip to Singapore to attend the Singapore 28-30.March.2014 International Coin Fair, beside having met with a lot of dignitaries, I am also lucky enough to be given chance to view rare and high graded coins and banknotes by my buddy Singapore numismatists.
This is a piece of common date Malaysia first series 5 sen coin with total mintage of 51,490,263 pieces. It was graded by NGC with a gem brilliant uncirculated grade of MS68.
In the 7th edition of KN.Boon 2014 Malaysia Brunei & Singapore Banknotes & Coins Complete Educational Reference Catalog, it is priced at RM10 for an UNC coin and RM20 for a brilliant uncirculated graded coin.I wonder how much in price it will fetchs with NGC MS68 gem brilliant uncirculated grade.
In recent Malaysia numismatic market, any modern Malaysia coins that it was graded by NGC or PCGS with MS66, MS67 or MS68 grades, the realised selling price transacted are far beyond prices quoted or listed in our local coin catalogs.
The market forces just do it! Demand and supply fix it !Willing sellers and willing buyers agreed on it!
