UNLISTED 1974 50 CENTS BRONZE GENTING GAMING TOKEN

Genting Highlands Unlisted 1974 50 Cents Bronze Gaming Token.

The Genting Highlands Resort, located on the Gunung Ulu Kali Peak in the mountainous main range in the State of Pahang 2,880 metres above sea level, was opened in mid 1971.
Malaysia's first and only casino, which was then located in the Highlands Hotel, issued One Ringgit tokens for use in the Casino de Genting between 1972 to 1974. In 1974, 20 Sen & 50 Sen tokens were issued for use in its slot machines. These tokens were however withdrawn some time later on the advised of Bank Negara Malaysia when public were accepting them as normal legal tender.
Two days ago, I was being approached by a couple of collector who showed me a piece of 1974 Genting Highlands 50 Sen bronze gaming token. I had collected many pieces of  1974 Genting Highlands 50 Sen gaming tokens, but there were made of Cupro Nickel material.

Reverse: Within a wreath " 50 SEN 1974 "

The Cupro Nickel 1974 50 Sen token was listed as SS47 (Pahang) in Mr. Saran Singh's book," The Encyclopaedia of THE COINS OF MALAYSIA-SINGAPORE AND BRUNEI 1400-1967 ".
