KELANTAN PITIS/KEPING IN UNCIRCULATED CONDITION
Kelantan Tin Pitis/Keping 1321 A.H.(1904) In Uncirculated Condition.
Rarity:RR/SS24
Last Saturday, when I send Master Tan Tai Seng (PNM) to our MNS office to attend this coming MNS Auction No.155 (24-03-2013) authentication meeting, he gave me a piece of Malaya Kelantan State Sultanate Tin Pitis/Keping coin, it is in uncirculated condition.
The coin is still in lustre, beside the round central hole that is an other smaller hole on the coin which I was told by Master Tan Tai Seng it was due to insufficient of liquefied tin to fill up the dies.
On the obverse of this Kelantan Pitis is with inscription "Belanja Kerajaan Kelantan" (Currency of the Government of Kelantan) in Arabic and reverse is "Duriba fi Dhu'l Hijja Sanat 1321" which means minted in Dhu'l Hijja i.e. the 12th month of the Hijja Year 1321 A.H. (Feb/March 1904).
With plain edge, weight at 3.16 grammes and diameter measured at 21mm.The composition of this Pitis is tin and there were three major die varieties.
