POST MINT JOB ERROR COINS ON BUNGA RAYA SERIES
More Post Mint Job (PMJ) Error Coins Are In The Market.(3)
These unscrupulous caveat emptors are not just doing PMJ error coins on Parliament House series, they also try their luck on the Bunga Raya series.
In the market, our recent "Hot" item on error coin is the 2009 Bunga Raya series 5 Cents "Twin Tower" Double Dies Variety. It was sold at RM25 at the initial, then listed at RM120 in the Malacca Auction on 6th July 2013.It was priced at RM200 in one of the dealer shop at Berjaya Times Square. Now it was still sold at RM50 to RM60.
Being sensitive to the current market demands, these "professional" unscrupulous counterfeiters are quick enough to punch some PMJ "Dot" error coins on the Bunga Raya series.

Sifu, this is one of the reason why I don't really collect error coins & notes. So sad to see this kind of things happened.
ReplyDeletedepankanta blogspot,
DeleteSelamat Hari Raya.Terima kasih ats comments yang baik.Itulah cabaran dan tangung jawab kita sebagai kolektor numismatik.
Shaun,
ReplyDeleteI don't agreed with your reason why you are not collecting error coins and banknotes because of PMJ errors.
Instead you should take it as a challenge to learn more about genuine and forgery error coins and banknotes so that you will not be cheated by those unscrupulous caveat emptors, and share your knowledge and experiences with your numismatic friends so that they will be cheated too. Cheers!
Haha sifu i see we shud share our knowledge so that our frens "will be cheated too" .
ReplyDeleteAt least dealers like us can make more money as real errors are hard to find so we create the market for it. Making this errors create a whole new way of collecting error coins n im earning a lot from it

I just loved error coins and notes, though my collection is not much to shout about but through this hobby I learn a lot from my friends and dealers on how to identify fakes and forgeries, through sharing knowledge and information, Yes this is very challenging not you can learn from minutes or hours but takes time and effort by visiting dealers getting their advice, learning from internet blogs, from collectors and experts etc...and also one can earn some money through selling your extra coin/notes which you have extra....Stewart Tan
ReplyDeleteGenuine collectors should not allow these unscrupulous dealers damage he reputation of this popular hobby and also as a form of investment for the long term. Is there any way to 'blacklist' these shenanigans?
ReplyDeleteSo what? This means i make more money. Haha thats why i make more money than you. Sometimes i have sales of up to Rm12000 a day. I dont think you can beat that bro .
